STEM4ALL WAKU WAKU STEM 2021@PERAK, an online event organized by STEM Malaysia, was held on October 13, 2021.
The 30-minute class, taught by two SPRIX employees, was much more than a boring lecture from a talking head. The session included interactive quizzes, and at one point, the excitement grew so intense, it might as well have been an in-person event! Children who participated gave positive comments: “It was very stimulating to learn about basic calculations the Japanese way.” Another revealed, “I have taken online classes before, but this one was by far the most enjoyable one.”
The COVID pandemic has made online education more common, and access to content and services beyond geographical borders has become easier. In this case, a Japanese-style class on Fundamental Academic Skills inspired children an ocean away.
