Simultaneous online testing creates unity.
In Vietnam, we held online TOFAS testing in December 2021 and January 2022. A total of 1,500 students from six schools took the test simultaneously on the respective dates. To participate, students accessed an online conferencing system from their home or school computers, and because they all took the test together, a profound sense of unity was engendered.
After the test, students and teachers commented that the TOFAS experience was useful for their regular studies and teaching. An award ceremony was then held for those who passed the exam with a score of 80% or higher. Students introduced their schools, top scorers were presented, and SPRIX shared the overall results of the examinees.
Despite the ongoing COVID pandemic, which prevents students and teachers from gathering at a venue and taking the test in person, this initiative clearly demonstrates that it is possible to hold an online event and create a strong sense of unity.
